Christmas Morning!

We woke up at 7:30 (the latest in my 26 years of marriage)! Madi was so cute and very excited about all her gifts. She got dolls, a Nintendo DS, a guitar, a robe and slippers!! Robert got a skateboard and an Iron Gym, Logan a wetsuit and a book. The family a flat screen!! Yea!! It was a nice Christmas-the best part is watching Madi! She said, "I love Santa!!" I am so excited to get up to Utah and see the other babies. We will post more pics during that week!! Merry Christmas to all!!!

Live Nativity!!

We read the story of the Savior's birth and the kids acted out the story. Robert was the narrator. Baby Jesus was a blonde-huh???? I think Marissa's friend (who is a girl) was Joseph!! But all and all it was great and the most important part was hearing again about the humble beginnings of our Savior!

Christmas Eve!

We went to Dave and Tauna's for dinner on Christams Eve. Our family tradition is for everyoe to get new p.j.'s to wear on Christmas morning. These are some pics from that event!!!

Making Reindeer!!!!

After the Holiday Program, Madi's class came back to the room and made cute reindeer. I love first grade!!!

Holiday Program!

SORRY MY CAMERA SUCKS!!! I had to make that disclaimer because if I am at any distance the pictures are blurry and I can't erase the red eye. But you can get the idea! The first grade sang two songs, both of them had little dances to go with them. The Hanukkah song was about the candles so they were dancing with thier hands above their heads like flickering candles. So cute (and funny). The other song was Feliz Navidad-where they did a cute dance and pointed at the audience saying "I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas"-very cute!!!!

Around The World Celebration!

The first grade had an Around The World Celebration where they learned about the traditions of different countries. The last day they had a luncheon with foods from the different countries. The countries were Italy, China, Mexico, Israel and the USA!! These are a few pictures from that day (my camera battery died after 4 pictures:)

Ward Christmas Party

Saturday night was our ward Christmas dinner. It was a back to Jerusalem theme. They had authentic food and decorations. Robert brought his friend Sasha. They even had a petting zoo-which Madi enjoyed. Our Bishopric was the three wisemen in a little play that they did. It was a fun evening!!

San Francisco Getaway!!!

This weekend Tim had a business trip in San Francisco so I decided to join him to go visit my cousin Sabrina. I arrived Thursday and took BART to Walnut Creek and that is where the fun began. Sabrina and I went out to lunch and then that night she had a big Christams party. I didn't really know anyone, but it was fun to get in the Christmas spirit!! The next day after spending a little time with my hubby I picked up Sabrina and we went for a marathon shopping day in Walnut Creek!!! It was great ot spend the day shopping and talking and LAUGHING (which we do alot of together)!!! Total therapy!!! That night we joined our hubbies at a nice dinner and then back to our hotel for a relaxing jacuzzi!! The next day we met up for donuts and to say good-bye! It was too short and super fun! Tim and I spent the day in the city shopping and having fun before we flew home!! As we were heading back to BART to go to the airport it started pouring rain and we got soaked!!!! The sun was setting on the flight home-beautiful!!! What a great weekend!! I love my cousin and I am glad we could get in a few days together!!! Let's do it again soon!!!

Campbell's Soup Kid

When Teri and I were little we used to do this face cuz it looks like a Campbell's Soup kid!! She will probably kill me for posting it-but it makes me laugh!!!!

Giving Thanks!!!

Thanksgiving weekend was so fun!!! My sister and her family came for the weekend, as well as my brother Dave and his family. We had dinner at Steve and Marci's new home-BEAUTIFUL!!! I had all my kids -except Tiffany:( After a 4 1/2 drive-we had lots of food, stayed in a nice hotel (thanks Tori), got pedicures, went shopping, watched DVD of old family pictures (VERY FUNNY), watched a Laker game (they rock), laughed and laughed, exercised, ate, ate and ate!!! We went and saw my grandparents ages 91 and 89!!! It was sooooooo great to be together as a family!! I LOVE MY FAMILY!!!!

Happy 26th Anniversary to us!!!!!

Today we celebrate 26 years of marriage. It has been a joy (for the most part!!) My husband is a very good man and very patient with me. We have a great time together and really enjoy this stage in our lives!! Saturday night we went to a play downtown called Boomers and out to dinner. It was really fun!! Thanks baby for all the great times!!!

Utah vs. BYU

We have a daughter and son-in-law (and other family members) who have graduated from the U (and currently attend there!!) We have a son currently going to BYU so we are very conflicted...
But since the U is undefeated we would be excited to see them have an undeafeated season and go to a big bowl game!!! GO TEAMS!!!!

Card Club Reunion!!

Okay, so every year my old card group (a group of 10 ladies) get together and swap hand made cards and have a great evening of card swapping, lots of laughter and FOOD!! So my old SCV friends decided to include me even tough I don't live there anymore (afterall, I did start the group)!! They told me about it way in advance (which of coarse I waited til the last minute to make my cards) Somehow I made plans to go to Utah on the same night. So unfortunately, I could not go (VERY SAD!!) I made a card, just made up in my not so creative head. I hated the card. So I decided since I was going to Utah I would ask Tiffany to help me make my cards cuter (cuz they are all about cute cards in Utah!!) So anyways, Tffany thought my idea was cute so I am posting the final results!! I miss my girls in card club-shout out to Mimi, Susan, Corrie, Jennifer, Katie, Tiffany Mique, Rachael and Cami!!! Love you guys!!!

Robert's Court of Honor!!!

Robert finally had his Court of Honor. It was held in Santa Clarita so he could participate with Ximmer Conkling (Robert's oldest friend) and other boys from our old ward. It was a great evening. His brother Ryan escorted him. His dad was his mentor speaker. Some of his old scout leaders were there and that was great too!! We had dinner beforehand with Grandma and Grandpa Lang, Ryan and Amber (and baby James too!!) Thanks to all who supported Robert on his journey. It has been a long road but we are very proud of Robert for completing this achievement!!

Halloween 2008

Once again, Madison was a Disney Princess (2007 Sleeping Beauty, 2006 Snow White, 2005 Belle, 2004 Cinderella, 2003 Tinkerbell). This time The Little Mermaid!!! Unfortunately, in our neighborhood there are very few trick or treaters so Shannon took Madi to a few houses and that was it!! She got plenty of candy between the Ward Party and Trick or Treating!! It is nothing like our old neighberhood where there is a steady flow of ghosts and goblins for a couple of hours-oh well it's a trade off. Today it is about 75 degrees so I will not complain!!!!

Ward Halloween Party!!

Last night we went to our Ward Trunk or Treat Party!!! Madi invited her school friend Sarah-they had a blast. They ran from car to car as fast as they could. They made it around about 6 times before their buckets were full-now I have lots of candy to pass out halloween night!!!!!

Just a note!!

Funny story!! Logan came home for the weekend but went surfing instead of the zoo! On Saturday he said he wanted to shave his head like Ryan's-I said Ryan is already married-you are not so don't shave your head. So later, Ryan and Logan locked themselves in my bathroom and shaved Logan's head (fortunately that was after family pictures) Needless to say he looks adorable, but it reminded me of when they were little and did naughty things together (like coloring on walls or putting toy trucks in the toilet to name a few)-and now they look exactly alike again (sorry no picture) You can look at Ryan below and get the idea!!! I love my twins!!

The San Diego Zoo!!

On day 3-Ryan, Amber and James joined us as well as Grandma and Grandpa Lang!!! We went to the zoo which we should have done on day 1 because it didn't seem very fun after Disneyland for 2 days!! Oh well-live and learn!!! Ryan and James hanging at the zoo!
